Meet the Authors

I work with many of the most brilliant minds and warmest hearts in the world, bringing their visions into the world through their books. It is my honor and privilege to share some of their work through this page.

Jeremy Zoch

Jeremy Zoch is an executive, teacher, ultra-athlete, musician, father, husband, and spiritual person whose life journey has made him a relentless advocate for health and life. He attended Iowa State University for Business Administration, Washington University in St. Louis for graduate school and received his PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has worked at leading healthcare institutions including Johns Hopkins, Mayo Health Systems, University of Maryland, BJC Health System, Dignity Health, and was CEO of Providence St. Joseph Hospital, and is a former Adjunct Instructor at the University of Southern California. Shannon Varner Alexander

A little bit wonk and a little bit wild, Shannon has roamed many paths over her fifty years. She’s been a dancer, a survivor, an actress, a traveler, a therapist, a lawyer, a scuba diver, a photographer, a lover of clothing-optional resorts, and the badass burlesque performer Bonnie Bodacious. She was emboldened to say yes to her heart after her mother was diagnosed with early-onset dementia, highlighting the risk in Shannon’s own genetic makeup. Confronted with the reality that life could be shorter than she thought, Shannon stopped living reactively and started saying yes to one adventure after another. From carrying the weight of self-loathing in her twenties to living out loud naked (or nearly naked) without apology in middle age, Shannon now embraces unabashed self-love and celebration. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and dogs.

Hillary Augustine

Through her coaching and consulting, Hillary Augustine bends limits and challenges norms. Her unique way of seeing and being is mirrored in her writing, her life, and her work.

She has completed both a Master's in Counseling and a Master's in Accounting, representing her love of learning and exploration. Her favorite life degree comes from traveling.

She crosses both literal and metaphorical borders as her free-spirited, non-conformist self soaks in the medicine of journeying.

Janet Barrett

Janet lives just outside of Boston, Massachusetts with her four kids and very fluffy dog. She has always been an avid reader, spending most of her money as a child on books and candy. Now that she is an author, she hopes that her book will be on your bedside table, dog eared, and well loved, like so many books that have made an impact on her life.

Janet has lived on 3 continents, and moved over 30 times. She loves to explore, and tries to bring something from each location with her to the next. She has promised her kids that she won’t move them again, but looks forward to the next move she will make once they are grown and flown.

In summary, Janet ….

…Loves to travel, without an itinerary.

…Loves to read, but doesn’t always have time.

…Loves being outside, any time of year.

…Loves her kids, more.

Gianna Andrews

Gianna Andrews is a contemporary fine artist inspired by her love for the natural world. Whimsical elements mixed with bold lines and colorful expressions flow from the canvas in her acrylic paintings. Her signature style comes to life not only on large-scale canvases but also on salvaged wood pieces and other unique mediums.

While receiving a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies at Montana State University, Gianna sustained a mountain biking accident and broke her back. Confined to a clamshell brace for months, Gianna tapped into a hidden talent and discovered how to synthesize her love for the outdoors with creativity. This served as the foundation for an unexpected career as an artist.

Gianna’s work gained attention with a growing social media following and has been featured in collaborations with brands such as Lib Tech, Alaska Heli Skiing, Stanley, Outside Inc., 10 Barrel Brewing, Juneshine, Joe Chocolate, Sierra Nevada Brewing and more.

By sharing her art with the world, Gianna hopes to inspire others to reach for their dreams while protecting this planet we call home.

Max Traylor

Max grew up with a “digital, scalable, residual” business mantra and applied that mindset to help brilliant people break through the “time for dollars” plateau. His clients put their personal lives first and build a consulting practice that works for them, not the other way around. He believes in simple consulting services and charging enough...so you don’t have to work all the time.

George Brontén

A life-long entrepreneur, with 20 years of experience in the software space and a passion for sales and marketing. I'm always looking for new ways to achieve improved business results using innovative software, skills, and processes. I share my thoughts on the award-winning blog “Art & Science of Complex Sales.”

Since 2012, my team at Membrain.com has collaborated with thought leaders and studied research to identify the success factors behind successful sales organizations. The result of their hard work is a software-as-a-service that makes it easier for companies to capture, learn and execute the behaviors needed to achieve sales excellence.

Although my business is software, I believe technology is not a complete answer to our problems. First, we must understand the essential human nature of buyers and sellers. Only then can we design our technology to enable effective performance. My writing focuses on the science of the mind and human behavior to address this essential aspect of organizational health and provide sales leaders with the tools they need to effect transformational change on their teams.
